Three Wise Pups

1000 Paper Cranes and a Wish for healing.

Japanese paper cranes are a symbol of peace, hope, and healing — and this was our wish.

The story begins with a little girl named Sadako Sasaki, who folded 1,000 paper cranes while bravely battling leukaemia after the Hiroshima bombings, holding onto the hope of more peace, love, and healing in the world.

And so here we were, folding these beautiful birds and sending love, peace, and healing out into the world once more.

No, I certainly didn’t fold all of these by myself. I was lucky enough to have so many beautiful people willing to pour their hearts, prayers, and wishes into this project — simply to spread a little joy to someone who has given so much love and joy to so many others.

And still, the result remained the same:

1,000 cranes and one united wish for recovery, longevity, peace, and brighter days ahead.

The symbolism of many hands also represents something important:

we are not meant to walk life alone.

Sometimes it takes a team to help carry us through difficult seasons — and that is okay.

Have unwavering faith, stay fierce, and trust that one day you too may be able to pass this same hope on to another soul in need.

There was no specific colour we used, and no single size each crane had to be — and life is much the same.

Your road will look different to the person beside you, and only you can determine the path that leads you toward healing.

Some days will be harder than others, but each morning is a new beginning —

another chance for love, laughter, strength, and hope.

Some cranes were sat on by Reg, trampled by Captain, inspected by Gracie, and lovingly scrunched and tossed by Lainey.

And there may be days where we too feel sat on, trampled, poked, prodded, scrunched, and tossed by life.

But every one of those moments still became part of the final 1,000 cranes.

In the same way, every single day we choose to keep going becomes part of our own journey forward.

Every day counts.

Every day matters.

Every day is adding to healing.

So keep going, knowing that the outcome is often made up of all the small days put together.

And when you find yourself standing in the face of uncertainty, remember that within you is the strength to keep finding the certainty you need.

Thank you for the love and light you bring into the lives of others. May peace, healing, and hope always find their way back to you. 💕🌸🌈
